In the end of the year HUTNÍ PROJEKT Frýdek-Místek a.s. executed the replacement of collecting mains on last of three blocks of large volume COB with annual capacity 1 mil t coke. As a part of the works there were dismantled both old worn out collecting mains and replaced by new ones. There were also replaced all standpipes by new ones as well all interconnecting pipelines on battery roof and other accessories. The works were carried out under full operation of adjacent COB blocks. The whole operation took place without the presence of coke in the chambers and with proper maintaining of the thermal regime in the block. The whole replacement of collecting mains and all related equipment was successfully performed in mutually approved time schedule during 32 days.
